What's NEW???
Well, for starters...some of YOU! So welcome new drivers, welcome new counties, welcome new schools! (I think that covers everything.)
For you new folks, please let me ’splain: I am Sheldon, spokes-car and mascot for the campaign for Courtesy on the Road. That is my picture in the upper left hand corner of the page...and to the right....and on the box to the right below...actually, I am just about EVERYWHERE!!! Hopefully, I am on a magnet on the back of YOUR CAR!
COR is now in it's 3rd year in the high schools of Howard County, Maryland, and its 1st year in Kent and Queen Anne's County on Maryland's Eastern shore. COR rewards safe, smart and courteous drivers by giving prizes to students who are "caught" following all the good driving behaviors outlined in our handy dandy curriculum featuring more adorable pictures of your truly. So Welcome NEW drivers, NEW schools, NEW counties!
With a little help from our friends at the Maryland State Highway Administration, we welcome Kent County HS, Queen Anne’s County HS, + Kent Island HS to our Campaign for Courtesy on the Road! Students who sign up are eligible for weekly prize packages as local businesses on the Eastern shore have contributed cool stuff for the weekly Sheldon Sighting. This year Howard County high school students will be receiving $100 gas cards for getting caught driving courteously. And of course there are the usual enotes with weekly contests, and a Big Music Video contest open to students on both sides of the Bay Bridge! Keep you eye on your email INBOX for more!
One More NEW Thing!
Keep in touch through our Roadblog on My(parking)Space. Let's hear from you and what you experience on the road. Visit www.myspace.com/courtesyontheroad. We will be featuring contests and more new stuff there soon.
Anyway, feel perfectly free to cruise around the website and check out all the ways you can become involved...and we'll see you on the roads and on the net!
